How to Register
New voter registrations can be submitted in one of three ways:

• By Mail: Cabarrus County Board of Elections, PO Box 1315, Concord, NC 28026-1315
• In Person: Cabarrus County Board of Elections, 369 Church Street N, Concord, NC
• Online: You can also register through the North Carolina DMV via this link.

Registration Deadline
The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is 25 days before Election Day, at 5:00 PM. (October 9, 2026 at 5 pm).

Forms delivered to the Cabarrus County Board of Elections office or postmarked by the deadline will be accepted as valid for the upcoming election. Voter registration transactions completed through the DMV or other approved agencies by the deadline are also accepted.

Once registered, the Cabarrus County Board of Elections will notify you of your assigned precinct and polling place.
